No further details on the next-generation racer were revealed, with Lamborghini explaining that more information will be released soon. However, back in June at the Le Mans 24 Hours, acting Lamborghini Squadra Corse boss Rouven Mohr shared a few additional details to reporters.
“I can tell you that unlike the LMDh (SC63) with a standalone engine, the Super Trofeo, as well as the GT3 car, will have the street engine including all the highly sophisticated stuff,” he said.
“It will not be hybrid though (like the road-going model it is based on), so it will need to be modified, then let’s see if high-revving makes sense or not.
“We have to find the best compromise between drivability and efficiency.”
Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann added that the Super Trofeo version of the car will follow the GT3 in 2027.
