The Lamborghini Temerario Shouldn't Have Had a Twin-Turbo V-8?

The Lamborghini Temerario has a 4.0-liter engine twin-turbo V-8 coupled with a rear electric system positioned between the main engine and dual-clutch transmission. This combination makes this car a super sports car, but there is some controversy surrounding this configuration.

The Chief Marketing Officer Federico Foschini has been quoted as saying the V8 is so good that people will forget the V10 soon. However, Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr has said in interviews that he is currently not in favor of transitioning away from the older engine.

It seems like it's a difference of opinion between marketing and technical teams depending on what they think is better for future owners.

What do you think? Will or can the twin V8 coupled with the electric system be better than the V10 in current models like the Huracán?

Other than the sound the V10 makes, I think the TT V8 and the TT V8 Hybrid system is superior. Stock, the old V10 just didn't have enough torque or HP.... it just couldn't keep up with technological and power advancements that other manufacturers have been using.

Now, if you put a twin turbo kit on the old V10.... well, now you are talking :)

That would be madness. Or combine the V10 with an electric system. The electric system to give you that initial and instant acceleration out of the line, and the V10 to take you all the way to over the 225 mph the Huracán is already capable of, but in a newer car like the Temerario.

I think the Lamborghini Temerario's choice of a twin-turbo V8 feels little odds with Lamborghini's legacy of naturally aspirated V10s and V12s, which deliver raw, unfiltered power and an unmistakable sound

It is odd, but that is whwre the industry is headed. I think Lamborghini, like other car companies, are just dipping their toes into the hybrid thing to see how it works out, so they can decide if going full electric would be a good idea.
